The Crotalias earrings are made by hand in gilded silver and freshwater pearls.
Inspired by the wonderful portrait of Isidora. The term crotalias comes from the Greek word krotalos (a simple musical instrument made up of two cymbals joined by a string). And they received this name because of the small tinkle that their pearls made when they collided with the movement of the head. This earring model was very popular with Roman women.
If you want to know more about crotalias we have a blog post where we tell you the whole story in detail.
